- This is what a majority of Hailclan's territory looks like.
- The warriors den is nothing but a small clearing where the members of the clan have tightly woven the branches at the top to where it'll keep snow out in the winter, and in the rest of the months, to keep rain out, they cover the top with multiple layers of fernleaves and moss. They also pile up small rocks and logs to form the walls of the den.
- The apprentice den is merely a large hollowed out but sturdy, fallen oak. Inside, there are at least 3 entrances/exits, so that nobody's stepping on anybody. Also, to keep warm in winter, the walls are lined with pelts of prey.
- The nursery and pelt storage den is one big tree. The top has been partially hollowed out to form a deep scoop. Over the scoop, the members of Hailclan have built a kind of ceiling-type thing. The scoop itself is lined with moss and in winter, its lined with pelts, like every den. Underneath all of the tree roots is a small space where there is a big pile of pelts to be used to line all of the dens in winter.
- The healer's den is a jumble of rocks and fallen logs by a small stream. The top of it has been covered with several layers of moss, sticks, and leaves to keep the inside dry.
- The leader's den is a hollowed out oak stump covered in moss. It's located farther away from the rest of the dens.

Glase sat outside his den, lost in deep thought. Memories played back over and over in his head, like a broken record. Ana sitting beside him while her father spoke to the clan.
ReplyDeleteAna humming softly, trying to come up with a lullaby to help Embric, her little brother, get to sleep. Himself humming along, and eventually helping her come up with it.
Glase smiled to himself as he recalled that was supposed to be Ana's little brother's lullaby, turned into their own little secret.
Without even realizing it, Glase began to sway back and forth slightly, humming that same tune. He closed his eyes, trying to force the lump that had formed in his throat away.
"Glase?" Blazer's voice snapped Glase out of his trance-like state.
"Yes? what is it?" he answered, opening his eyes and facing the young male.
(IS it WINter?? Or lol wut season is it?)
ReplyDeleteMaura sat in camp bobing her tail. 'This 7 cat clan will grow strong' she thought to herself.
Her breath billowed in soft white clouds as she thought about hunting. It made her feel like she could fly.
"Glase?" She heard Blazer say.
She jumpped up, startled. But her leader was fine, nothing was wrong.
Maura sighed, wishing something exciting would happen.
(lol it's winter. They call the seasons what we call them; Spring, Summer, Fall/Autumn, Winter. :3)
ReplyDeleteBlazer took a deep breath before continuing, his breath billowing in white mist in front of him as he spoke.
"Roughclan's at it again. I've scented their foul stench over our southern border while hunting." he explained, ruffling his fur to keep warm as a sharp wind filled with a snow flurry rushed in.
Glase looked up at the sky, taking note of the pale grey clouds covering the sky.
"There's gonna be a blizzard coming through here soon... Those clouds can't hold up much longer. I suggest we take the time we have today and stock up on lots of food and whatever herbs we can, and then take care of Roughclan. Winter's not the time for a battle. If there even is a time." he directed.
"Maura! You and Blazer go hunting. Bring back whatever you can find." he ordered, standing and facing the 2 lynx.
"Have you smelled a new scent over by the RoughClan border?" Blazer asked Star.
ReplyDelete"Actually, yes. I know why." she replied. "They took in a rouge it looks like. I've never seen him at The Great Falls before. He looks pretty weird don't you think?" she asked.
"I don't know yet. I haven't seen him. I'll get back to you on that-" he meowed. He got cut off as Artemis approached. "The cubs want to see you. Come on." she urged.
Glase turned and shook out his fur before padding off. He wanted to be alone.
ReplyDelete(got lazy. sorry.)
"Lets go Blazer," Maura said, anxious to get out of camp.
ReplyDelete"Hang on," he said following his mate.
She stopped impatiently in the snow. "I'll go by myself!"
She said stalking out towards the smell of water. And sat by a small stream.
Is it ok to join in??
